Katie Couric CBS Evening News Departure Made Official

Finally putting an end to months of nonstop speculation, Katie Couric has just revealed that she is in fact leaving the anchor desk at "CBS Evening News."

The TV news veteran made the announcement to People magazine earlier today (April 26), telling, "I have decided to step down from the CBS Evening News. I'm really proud of the talented team on the CBS Evening News and the award-winning work we've been able to do in the past five years in addition to the reporting I've done for 60 Minutes and CBS Sunday Morning. In making the decision to move on, I know the Evening News will be in great hands, but I am excited about the future."

As for her future plans, Katie revealed, "I am looking at a format that will allow me to engage in more multi-dimensional storytelling."

Couric added, "The bottom line is that I love doing all kinds of different stories. I have a lot of areas of interest and I want to be able to fulfill all of that."

Michael Douglas Talks Catherine Zeta-Jones

He's had a rough year battling throat cancer, and Michael Douglas told Oprah Winfrey that his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones didn't really have a choice when it came to talking about her struggle with bipolar II disorder.

During his interview on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" today, the "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps" actor shared that things didn't really go as planned for Catherine's treatment.

Douglas declared, "Catherine's being quite open about it because she was outed," in a tone that sounded none-too pleased.

He continued, "Went to get some help, and some other patient probably said, 'Hey, you won't believe who's in here now.' So, once that happens, I think she felt best to get out her story."

Adam Lambert & Nicki Minaj: O Music Awards Winners

They're both big stars in their own right, and Adam Lambert and Nicki Minaj have been announced as early winners for the O Music Awards.

The "For Your Entertainment" crooner ended up snagging the Favorite F--- Yeah Tumblr trophy, while Miss Minaj was given the Favorite Animated GIF award.

MTV's Gabi Gregg shared, "I'm online 24-hours a day, pretty much, or it feels like that. I was super exited to see that this category even existed. I love GIFs. I retweet them, I reblog them, I Facebook them," as she announced Nicki as the big winner.

The Inaugural O Music Awards will stream live from Las Vegas at 11pm Eastern from the show's website on Thursday, April 28th.

Aly Michalka Drops By “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon”

She's always up for a good time, and last night (April 26) Aly Michalka was spotted at "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon."

The singer/actress looked absolutely fabulous as she chatted with the talk show host, sporting a leggy beige dress.

Coming up later tonight, Aly and the rest of her cheerleader cohorts return with an all new episode of "Hellcats."

Per the show's official website, "Marti (Aly Michalka) convinces Julian (Gale Harold) to let her represent a Lancer University student at Honor Court, but she soon realizes the case is even more personal than she originally thought. Vanessa (Sharon Leal) and Red (Jeff Hephner) are shocked to find out that Red's ex-wife, Emily (guest star Camille Sullivan), has been hired to dig up dirt on Lancer's athletic programs and staff."

Ben Stiller Makes His Broadway Return

Making his triumphant return to Broadway after more than a 25 year hiatus, Ben Stiller has revived his place in the dark comedy "The House of Blues."

The 45-year-old hit the stage alongside costars Edie Falco and Jennifer Jason Leigh for the play's official opening on Monday night (April 25).

Ben, who made his Broadway and professional debut in the same project back in 1986, plays a zookeeper and wannabe musician who is trying his best to cope with his schizophrenic wife.

The John Guare production is scheduled to run at the Walter Kerr Theatre through June 30th.

Mariah Carey’s Easter Celebrations

She can't wait to become a mommy, and Mariah Carey shared her excitement over her soon-to-be-born twins over the Easter holiday.

The "Touch My Body" songstress painted her very pregnant belly with a pastel blue Easter egg with one red heart and one blue heart.

Mariah tweeted the photo so that all of her fans could partake in the family fun, along with a message- "HAPPY EASTER! Ummm. READY!!!!! Done and done."

Carey and her hubby Nick Cannon are planning on welcoming their twins into the world sometime in May.

Lea Michele & Cory Monteith: Hard at Work in NYC

Continuing their assault on the Big Apple, Lea Michele and Cory Monteith were spotted in Central Park earlier today (April 26).

The "Glee" costars looked to be having a marvelous time as they shot scenes for the upcoming season finale episode.

Lea has been seen all over Manhattan as of late, along with her partners in crime Dianna Agron, Jenna Ushkowitz, Heather Morris, and Chord Overstreet, all of whom are giving it their all to end out the season on a high note.

Ms. Michele took to her Twitter page, tweeting, "Now it's time to get movin because my dream of shooting Glee in NYC is finally coming true! Hope u r ready NYC…Miss Rachel Berry is here!!"

Megan Fox & Brian Austin Green: Frozen Yogurt Fun

Joined by her hunky hubby Brian Austin Green, the "Transformers" babe picked up some frozen yogurt to cool off a bit.

In related news, it seems Megan has reconsidered her Marilyn Monroe tattoo, as she's reportedly receiving laser treatments to have it removed.

Fox had previously told press, "I really admire Marilyn Monroe but I would never try to emulate her. I got the tattoo as a warning. It warns me not to let myself be treated so badly by the film industry so that it breaks me down."

Brad Pitt: Fighting Zombies in "World War Z"

Adding yet another film to his impressive list of movies, Brad Pitt is set to star in the film version of "World War Z."

The movie is based on Max Brooks's 2006 novel that details first-person accounts of a "zombie war" that ravages the world.

Brad's production company, Plan B, outbid Leonardo DiCaprio's Appian Way company and landed the rights to "World War Z" in 2007.

Mireille Enos from AMC's "The Killing" was most recently added to the cast and will play Pitt's wife.

Vin Diesel & Elsa Pataky: "Fast Five" in Madrid

Stepping out for a fun-filled event, Vin Diesel and Elsa Pataky were spotted at the "Fast & Furious 5" photocall in Madrid, Spain on Tuesday (April 26).

The sexy duo playfully posed for pictures and talked with press as they made their way down the red carpet before heading inside the Hotel Santo Mauro.

During a recent interview, Vin explained that he's becoming a softie with age.

He told, "With age, you get to a place where you don't want to knock people out. You just want to give people a hug."

As for his new movie, "Fast Five" hits theaters in the States this Friday, April 29th.
