Ed Helms "SNL" Hosting Efforts Recap

Making his debut appearance on the long-running sketch comedy show, Ed Helms was the host of the just-aired May 14th episode of "Saturday Night Live".

With Paul Simon nabbed as the musical guest, the Helms spearheaded show was received with a fair amount of criticism - largely due to the fact that the "Office" actor had a more limited role in the night's sketches than was expected.

Among the highlights, Helms opened things up with The Wolf Blitzer Cold Open during which he stripped down to a star-spangled unitard while putting his baton-twirling skills on full display.

One of the more popular bits was a live-action version of "Ambiguously Gay Duo" featuring Jimmy Fallon, Jon Hamm, Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, and Helms.

Meanwhile, the show drew to an end with a skit filled with one-line jokes titled "One Take Tony" along with Helms taking on his lone starring part as an anonymous Republican candidate featured in a political ad campaign.

For those less than thrilled with the latest "SNL," there's plenty to look forward to on next weekend's season finale - as Justin Timberlake will be taking over hosting duties with teh always-interesting Lady Gaga booked as the musical guest.

Jessica Alba & Honor Marie: Traveling Twosome

Returning home after enjoying a lux vacation down south, Jessica Alba and daughter Honor Marie arrived on a flight at LAX Airport in Los Angeles, CA on Saturday night (May 14).

Back from a sunny Cabo San Lucas getaway, the expecting actress was fresh-faced as she made her way through the airport in a pink scarf, gray t-shirt, and baggy beige pants.

Prior to her out of town excursion, the momma-to-be opened up about pregnancy the second time around, telling Us Weekly, "It's just simply not as daunting of a process. Before everything was happening for the first time and it's like, 'What's going on?' and 'What does this mean?'"

Miss Alba continued, "I would look everything up online, I had all my books; I diagnosed myself with everything that can go wrong. Of course nothing went wrong, thank God! I guess I'm sort of more at ease with it all."

Looking a bit tuckered out from the long flight from Los Angeles, Ashley Tisdale arrived at London's Heathrow airport earlier today (May 15).

The Louboutin luggage-toting 25-year-old opted for a mostly one-toned outfit, wearing a gray jacket, gray jeans, tan belt and muted gray cowboy booties as she trudged through the busy UK terminal.

The multi-talented Miss Tisdale made the overseas flight for business purposes, as she's all set to tend to promotional duties for "Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure."

Ashley also tweeted about her planned travels to Spain, writing, "Europe here I come!!So excited for all the yummy food! I'll be thinkin of u @JacobFatoorechi and @MjtPockets in Spain at r fav restaurant."

Jennifer Lopez Handles Tango Tech Glitch Like a Pro

Taking the stage for the day-long event's grand finale, Jennifer Lopez performed at the Wango Tango concert at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on Saturday night (May 14).

The 41-year-old singer took to her part in full force, looking stunningly-seductive in a skin-tight, glittering silver catsuit.

Showing off the talented and seasoned artist she is, J Lo flawlessly eased through her set in the midst of a major technical glitch that cut off all sound during her "On the Floor" performance.

After a second, successful and crowd-pleasing try at the song, Lopez took to her Twitter to laugh off the situation, writing, "Really?!! The whole sound system goes down? But..... "NO ONE HOLDS MOMMA DOWN!!!!" Haha!! LIVE SHOW, SPEAKERS OUT, FUN TIMES!"

Looking like a true natural up onstage, Selena Gomez performed a handful of tunes including her hit "Naturally" at this year's Wango Tango event held at Staples Center in Los Angeles on Saturday (May 14).

The 18-year-old mutli-talented star bounced around the set, rocking to the beat of her band, "The Scene," while clad in a pink tutu-like dress from designer Sherri Hill.

Earlier in the day, the Disney darling wrapped up filming for her hit show "Wizards of Waverly Place."

Selena took to her Twitter to thank her fans for all of their support, writing, "On behalf of my cast and myself, thank you for believing in our show for the past 5 years. We are truly grateful and owe it all to you."

Rocking the stage in her true glitter-filled form, Ke$ha pumped up the crowd at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California during KIIS FM's Wango Tango 2011 on Saturday night (May 14).

The "Blow" singer, one of the evening's main performers, sported a funky and fun black skeleton-print leotard with matching black gloves and fishnet stockings for the concert efforts.

The 23-year-old treated the packed house a four-song set, which included her hits "Blah Blah Blah," "Party at a Rich Dude's House," "Your Love is My Drug," and "Tik Tok."

This year's event, co-hosted by Britney Spears and Ryan Seacrest, also offered up musical spots from Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull and Selena Gomez.

Kate Gosselin’s Sextuplet Birthday Celebration: Round Two

Making final preparations for round two in celebration of the sextuplets' 7th birthdays, Kate Gosselin enlisted the help of daughters Mady and Cara while making a trip to the local Giant supermarket in Reading, PA over the weekend (May 14).

The TLC reality star mom and her growing twin gals were followed every step of the way by "Kate Plus 8" camera crews while loading up with supplies for what will be the second sextuplet birthday bash.

Miss Gosselin previously held a family-only dinner on the sextuplets' actual birthdays (May 10), after which she tweeted, "Whew!Bday whirlwind!Screams of joy&happiness&mommy choked up during bday/dinner prayer!:) great day-all r happy&healthy!I love being a mom!"

Hinting that another soiree was in the works, Kate - who's currently in a court battle over unpaid marriage counseling bills - tweeted the following day, "Hi guys! I just finished in court. Now back to my all important bday party prep! We are having FUN with turning 7!!! :)"

Miranda Cosgrove’s Charitable 18th Birthday Celebration

Spending her 18th birthday raising money for charity, Miranda Cosgrove and her "iCarly" castmates were busy attending a benefit for St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis, Tennessee on Saturday (May 14).

With Jennette McCurdy, Noah Munck, Jerry Trainor, Nathan Kress, Victoria Justice and her "Victorious" co-stars all on-hand, the group of young stars all took time to pose with the charity event's winning bidders before watching on as Miss Cosgrove was presented with a fancy multi-tiered birthday cake..

As for Miranda's birthday wish, the adorable young actress said that she was hoping for either a Volkswagen Bug or a tandem bike.

Talking with E!, Cosgrove told, "I wanted a Volkswagen bug for a long time. Jerry [Trainor], who plays Spencer on iCarly, actually has this really cute little BMW. So I was thinking about maybe something like that. I'm more into like color than like the type of car and stuff. I don't know much about cars so I'm just more into picking the right color."

If that doesn't pan out, Miranda said of her backup plan, "I tandem bike ride a lot with my friend so I would like a new tandem bike. That would be awesome."

Kanye West & Jamie Foxx’s Cannes "Gold Digger" Duet

He's never been one to shy away from a high profile gig, and Kanye West was the center of attention as he performed at the Red Granite party in Cannes, France on Saturday night (May 14).

The "Stronger" hitmaker took to the stage at the Carlton Beach venue after a 20-minute opening set by Pharrell Williams, delving into his hit songs during the hour-long effort attended by Hollywood stars including Bradley Cooper and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Adding even more thrills to the evening, West was at one point joined onstage by actor/musician Jamie Foxx for a R&B flavored duet rendition of "Gold Digger".

The Cannes soiree was put on by Red Granite - which is a newly formed movie financing group - as the firm was making its best effort to gain a little recognition and rub elbows with powerful players in Tinseltown.
