Selena Gomez Kicks Off New Tour in Dixon

Embarking on a brand new adventure, Selena Gomez took the stage in Dixon, California on the first night of her new tour on Saturday (May 7).

The Disney darling walked onstage to the screams of her adoring fans, as she delivered all of the hits with a special treat in the cover of Cheryl Cole's hit song "Parachute".

The tribute to Cole came just 24 hours after Cheryl was named as one of the judges on Simon Cowell's upcoming U.S. version of "X Factor" - with Nicole Scherzinger, Paula Abdul and Steve Jones also confirmed for the program.

Back to Selena, the 18-year-old was dressed for her concert in an eye-catching silver dress despite blustery conditions, as she told fans in attendance, "I have a sweater and a jacket but I didn't want to wear it. I'll be cold for you guys because I want to wear this pretty thing."

Prior to kicking off her tour, Selena sat down with Seventeen Magazine about a range of subjects including items in which she keeps in her beauty bag - with video available below.

Jessica & Ashlee Simpson’s Mother’s Day Family Photo Shoot

Gathering together over the holiday weekend for a family photo shoot, Jessica and Ashlee Simpson joined forces in Beverly Hills, CA on Saturday afternoon (May 7).

The Simpson sisters were joined by Jessica's fiance, Eric Johnson, as well as Ashlee's young son, Bronx, while heading inside to pose for a round off Mother's Day weekend portraits.

The outing comes just a few days after Jessica made an appearance on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" - during which she surprised seven lucky ladies with full prom wardrobes from the Jessica Simpson collection.

Miss Simpson doted the free attire to students at Father's H.A.R.B.O.R. Academy in Jacksonville, Florida, who had written letters to her explaining that they'd been in and out of foster care and didn't have the means to pretty up for the annual high school date night.

In a heart-warming moment, Jess quickly made sure that all seven not only could attend prom, but that they'd be the envy of the rest of the magical night's attendees.

Tina Fey’s Return to "Saturday Night Live"

Back on the show which had a major role in launching her ever-so-successful career, Tina Fey took center stage as host of last night's (May 7) episode of "Saturday Night Live".

The expecting "30 Rock" actress kicked off the program with an opening monologue which ended up as a duet between herself and Maya Rudolph - with the topic being "uterus hogs" and what causes them (a little rose wine and unprotected sex on a roller coaster).

Miss Fey also treated audiences to her beloved Sarah Palin character during a GOP debate sketch, with the show offering up a piece on Osama Bin Laden's last will and testament, as well.

With a digital short about "Jack Sparrow" featuring Michael Bolton included in the mix, other topics of Fey's "SNL" evening included a few clips on her pregnancy such as "Birthing Class" and a fan favorite titled "Pregnant In Heels".

Ke$ha Gets Sleazy in Sin City

Taking her stage show to Sin City, Ke$ha threw a festive after-party as part of her 'Get Sleazy' tour in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday night (May 7).

Held at Chateau Club and Gardens, the "TiK ToK" hitmaker offered up a captivating performance while welcoming guests including former "Dawson's Creek" star James Van Der Beek and his wife, Kimberly Brook.

Sounding as if she had quite the eventful time during her stay, Ke$ha tweeted of the Las Vegas visit, "The Vegas. Morning. 10 of my best friends. Amazeballs. Troubleeeeee."

Getting a much-deserved break, Ke$ha will next be playing at the Cricket Wireless Amphitheater in Chula Vista on May 13th. The show will also welcome performers including Pitbull, Nelly, Big Time Rush, Taio Cruz, Far East Movement and New Boyz.

Adam Lambert’s "Surreal" Prince Concert Night

Spending the weekend checking out one of his idols, Adam Lambert stepped out for the Prince concert at The Forum in Inglewood, California on Saturday night (May 7).

Dressed in all-black getup, the "For Your Entertainment" rocker was on cloud nine following the show, as he tweeted, "Was surreal. Saw Prince down at the forum! Danced our assesoff. Happy MOMS Day!!"

Meanwhile, Lambert - a former runner-up on the hit FOX show "American Idol" - hasn't held back in offering up his thoughts on the current season's finalists.

The 29-year-old recently told, "I love Haley so much because musically and vocally, she's doing things that are at a top-notch level."

However, Adam isn't too fond of participant James Durbin, of whom he told, "I think he's got talent and passion 100%, but I feel like he's trying way too hard."

Johnny Depp & Penelope Cruz: "Pirates 4" Premiere!

Certainly the place to be on Saturday night (May 7),Disneyland in Anaheim had an energetic vibe as the stars of "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" held their movie's world premiere.

With Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz being the main attractions, the co-stars joined producer Jerry Bruckheimer, director Rob Marshall, actors Geoffrey Rush, Ian McShane, Keith Richards, Astrid Berges-Frisbey, and Sam Claflin for the red carpet extravaganza.

Also drawing out the likes of Eva Longoria, Emma Roberts, Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens, the film's debut was shown in 3-D on a floating island in the Rivers of America.

Tickets to the premiere event sold out in three days at a hefty pricetag of $1,000 for each admittance - while the proceeds benefitted the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

As for the movie - which opens in theaters on May 20th - the latest "Pirates" installment finds "Jack Sparrow and Barbossa embark on a quest to find the elusive fountain of youth, only to discover that Blackbeard and his daughter are after it too."

Vanessa Hudgens & Ashley Tisdale: Pirates Pals!

Stepping out for one of the most awaited movie events of the year, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale were arm-in-arm at the premiere of Walt Disney Pictures' "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" premiere on Saturday night (May 7).

Held at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, the former "High School Musical" co-stars both looked lovely as they took in the sights - with Miss Hudgens at one point visiting with a pirate-clad Mickey Mouse working the red carpet.

Unable to contain her excitement, Tizzie took to Twitter as she wrote, "I see in my future.. Disneyland, pirates and Johnny Depp!! Lol Takin my mom and my man's mom to the pirates premiere!!!"

Making for an extra-special night, proceeds from the world premiere of "Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" all went to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

With her due date rapidly approaching, Victoria Beckham was the guest of honor at a baby shower thrown by actress Eva Longoria and stylist Ken Paves on Saturday afternoon (May 7).

Held at the Butterfly Bar atop Le Petit Ermitage in West Hollywood, CA, the former Spice Girl was dressed in a purple v-neck frock as her "Desperate Housewives" gal pal hosted the soiree drawing the likes of Demi Moore and Nicole Richie.

With fellow celebrities including Selma Blair, Rachel Zoe and Tana Ramasey all in attendance, Posh was all about pink in honor of her first daughter - as she's already mother to three boys, Romeo, Cruz and Brooklyn.

A source told People magazine, "All she wanted was anything pink. She's so excited to finally have a girl."

As for the presents in which she received, Victoria was doted with a 5 foot Melissa and Doug custom-made giraffe, a Hoppop Bath tub, mamaRoo baby swing and Little Giraffe Luxe Blanket.

Meanwhile, Mrs Beckham's soccer star husband recently spoke about possible baby names, telling, "We've got a few in mind, but we've also said to the boys, 'Give us some ideas.' When we got told it was a boy, Romeo was like, 'How about Justin Bieber Beckham?' So now that we know it's a girl, he's like, 'What about Justine Bieber Beckham?'"

Dr Dre and Eminem Premiere "Die Hard"

Using the weekend's big fight as a launching pad for his third single, Dr Dre premiered his new song "Die Hard" during the Manny Pacquiao vs. "Sugar" Shane Mosley "Fight Camp 360" Showtime special on Friday night (May 6).

With the song featuring Eminem, the legendary beatmaker spits verses about having to produce something great to please fans who've waited years for his third solo album.

As clips of boxers Pacquiao and Moseley adorning the screen, Dre can be heard rapping,"It's on, blood pressure racing, I calculate my next step, which is to accept my expectations/ Are sort of too high to meet, my reputation's in jep, yep, face it, the fans, they been upset yet patient/ I love them for that."

Meanwhile, Eminem's chimes in during the chorus, "I sit into the wee hours of the night, then we don't stop until the sunlight/ We just keep going 'cause the die-hard won't go down without a fight."

Seemingly nearing readiness, Dr Dre's third single comes as he's still yet to announce a release date for the album "Detox" - though official word is expected sooner than later.

Chris Brown Rings In 22nd Birthday with Lil Weezy

As he continues to rebuild his music career, Chris Brown took a break from work efforts to ring in his 22nd birthday in Miami Beach, Florida on Friday night (May 6).

The "Kiss Kiss" singer took to the LIV nightclub venue for the first of two nights of partying - as he was joined at the fete by his "Look At Me Now" collaborator Lil Wayne.

With plenty of drinks and dancing to be had, Brown was later presented a birthday cake as he stripped off his shirt atop a balcony while blowing out the candles adorning the FAME-themed dessert.

Set to celebrate in Sin City on Saturday night, Brown tweeted of the weekend-beginning bash, "I just wanna thank everyone for making this day so special! Rough roads, crazy moments, and life lessons. My love for my fans is so eternal."
