Ja Rule’s Gets 28-Month Sentence for Tax Evasion

After not paying income taxes on more than $3 million dollars in earnings, Ja Rule was sentenced to 28 months in federal prison earlier today (July 18).

The "Superstar" rapper (real name Jeffrey Atkins) admitted to not ponying up to Uncle Sam on his earnings between 2004 and 2006, which led to the time behind bars and a required payment of $1.1 million in back taxes and fees.

Just before being sentenced, Ja Rule spoke to the court, saying, "I in no way attempted to deceive the government or do anything illegal."

"I was a young man who made a lot of money – I'm getting a little choked up – I didn't know how to deal with these finances, and I didn't have people to guide me, so I made mistakes."

Returning home after a long, luxurious vacation with the family, 10-year-old Willow Smith was spotted as she arrived into Los Angeles' LAX airport earlier today (July 18).

The pint-sized recording artist showed off her uber-cool style as she exited the plane, sporting a pair of aviator shades, multi-colored watch and Adidas sneakers with her hair in long braids.

Willow made her way back to the Golden State following a Hawaiian holiday with her famous father Will and "Karate Kid" brother Jayden.

The talented foursome took to the beach getaway following the end of a months-long intense filming schedule for Will's forthcoming third installment of "Men in Black."

Over the weekend, Ashley celebrated her 26th birthday with a trip to Las Vegas where she attended a pair of events.

The "Firework" songstress blasted rumors that there's trouble in paradise with a post on her Twitter page.

Katy tweeted, "Just cause we don't flaunt our relationship doesn't mean there's something wrong w/ it. Privacy is our luxury."

False stories of infidelity, separate lives, and the like have been surfacing as of late, though Perry says they're all bogus.

Rachel Uchitel Returns Tiger’s Hush Money, Threatens Lawsuit

After handing back millions of dollars in settlement hush money from Tiger Woods, Rachel Uchitel has decided she wants the loot back - and this time she's going after her former lawyer, Gloria Allred.

According to TMZ, the 36-year-old has returned nearly all of the hush money she received from Tiger and is now looking to sue her lawyer, Gloria Allred, for allegedly selling her out to cash in.

According to the site's sources, Woods' lawyer, Jay Lavely, who is responsible for the hush money negotiations, contacted Allred several months ago stating that Rachel violated the terms of their agreement during her stint on "Celebrity Rehab," in which she sought treatment for her "addiction to love."

Although Uchitel vehemently denied the violation, sources told TMZ that Allred convinced her she would lose a court case over the matter and urged her client to pay back most of the money, all the while collecting her attorney fees, a sum which she would not have received in the case was taken to court and lost.

Now, the former nightclub manager and University of New Hampshire alum has given her former legal representation an ultimatum: re-return the money or face a lawsuit.

While Uchitel's camp has kept mum on the situation, her previous attorney has released a statement, telling TMZ, "Our law firm no longer represents Ms. Uchitel and we have no comment on this story at this time. However, we are confident that we have always acted appropriately and in her best interests."

“Harry Potter” Lawsuit Dropped

She's one of the most successful authors in the history of literature, and J.K. Rowling can breathe easy now that a lawsuit against her has been dropped.

The late Adrian Jacobs' estate had claimed that Rowling stole ideas for her "Harry Potter" books from Jacobs' "Willy the Wizard" novels, and demanded hundreds of millions of dollars in damages.

But now the lawsuit has been dropped due to the fact that the claimant has failed to come up with security cash ordered by the judge.

A Jacobs spokesman declared, "The case is dead for now. Can it be revived? Yes, it could be taken up in another country, another jurisdiction."

Nicole Scherzinger: I’m Not Engaged

Despite the rumors to the contrary, Nicole Scherzinger is not engaged to her race car driver boyfriend Lewis Hamilton.

The "Don't Cha" songstress took to her Twitter page to clear up the confusion, after reports claimed she and Hamilton were betrothed.

Nicole tweeted, "Lewis and I woke up this morning and read we were engaged! Sorry to disappoint u all but its not true:)."

The crazy part is, Nicole's father Alfonso Valiente is the one who started the rumors. He told press, "You know about the proposal? Yes they are engaged. My future son-in-law is a really nice guy, really down-to-earth. My family all like him. The good spirit is there."

Rafael Nadal Hits the Beach with His Lady

And according to a report, William Levy, the man suspected of breaking up J. Lo's happy home, says he's not dating the "Waiting for Tonight" songstress.

Levy starred in Lopez's "I'm Into You" music video, but he says his interaction with Jennifer has always been purely professional.

William's rep told press, "The only relationship there was or is, is a professional relationship. That's all there's ever been."
