Daniel Radcliffe: I Had a Drinking Problem

Trying his best to put his hard-partying ways behind him, Daniel Radcliffe has revealed that his drinking days are over.

In the August issue of GQ, the 21-year-old "Harry Potter" star says he bid farewell to booze after finding himself all to accustom to using it, telling the mag, "There were a few years there when I was just so enamored with the idea of living some sort of famous person's lifestyle that really isn't suited to me."

Daniel says, unlike many of his Tinseltown peers, he was lucky that the always-present paparazzi never caught him during an alcohol-infused night, as he told, "I really got away with that because there were many instances when a shot like that could have been taken."

Radcliffe officially said goodbye to the bottle around the time he shot the final installment of "Harry Potter" last summer, explaining, "I'd just rather sit at home and read, or talk to somebody that makes me laugh… There's no shame in enjoying the quiet life."

Gearing up for a Independence Day bash, Rosie Huntington Whiteley and Jason Statham were spotted grocery shopping in Malibu, California earlier today (July 4).

The 24-year-old model and her 38-year-old actor beau were busy filling their shopping cart to the brim before unloading their just-purchased holiday goodies (which included staple bbq staple side dishes and some bottled adult beverages) into their car.

Meanwhile, Rosie has much to celebrate today, as her movie "Transformers 3" has just earned the title of biggest Fourth of July opening weekend ever!

The Paramount film has taken in over $97.4 million dollars domestically, beating out the previous record held by Spider-Man 2's $88.2 million opening.

Katie Holmes: So Long Soho Beach House!

Checking out of the super-lux South Florida hotel, Katie Holmes was spotted leaving the SoHo Beach House earlier today (July 4).

The 32-year-old was all smiles as she made her exit from the exclusive members club - the place where she hosted husband Tom Cruise's weekend-long 49th birthday celebrations.

Meanwhile, Katie is stepping up to show support for her hubby's latest project, recently gushing about his forthcoming action flick, "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol," telling MTV, "It's amazing."

Holmes furthered her excitement for the film with an equally-exciting claim, telling, "The movie is going to be very cool and intense and the best Mission yet."

Prince William & Kate Middleton: Dragon Boat Race Rivals

They've been having a blast on their tour of Canada, and earlier today (July 4), Prince William and Kate Middleton were spotted competing on opposite sides in a dragon boat race at Prince Edward Island.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were welcomed with a traditional Mi'kmaq smudging ceremony, meant to cleanse the spirit, before embarking on the fun-filled adventure.

Then, Will and Kate were given the task of directing their dragon boat teams as they raced to cross a lake in the Canadian province.

The day before, the Royal newlyweds visited Quebec's Freedom of the City Ceremony during which Kate gave an indication that she and Will were keen to have kids.

Local resident David Cheater told press, "When I wished her and William well with starting their own family she said, 'Yes, I hope to.'"

Prince William and Kate are set to pay a visit to Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories followed by two days in Calgary before they head south to the USA where they'll spend a pair of days in Los Angeles.

Evan Rachel Wood & Jamie Bell’s Spider-Man Night Out

Looking to be on-again, the always are-they-or-aren't they duo of Evan Rachel Wood and Jamie Bell posed for some pictures after a "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" performance at the Foxwoods Theatre in New York City over the weekend (July 2).

The twosome, dressed in all-black outfits, seemed quite content with one another as they snapped pics with show's cast including lead actor Reeve Carney.

Miss Wood, who was originally cast as Mary Jane in the Broadway adaption of the super hero story, walked away from the role after the show was delayed due to a plethora of stage mishaps.

The on-again-off-again pair have been going back and forth ever since they met on a 2006 music video set.

Gerard Butler: Fourth of July Beach Bash!

The "P.S. I Love You" stud looked to be in good spirits as he made his exit and smiled for the nearby paparazzi.

Earlier in the day, Gerard took care of his pet owner responsibilities by taking his lovely pug Lolita out for a walk on the beach.

In career news, Butler was recently invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for his work in the entertainment industry.

The "Mad Money" mommy looked fabulous in a skimpy black two-piece bikini as she waded into the water with her shirtless "Mission: Impossible" hubby as they celebrated Tom's 49th birthday.

As previously reported by GossipCenter, Katie treated Tom to quite the birthday bash, organizing a fabulous fete at the SoHo Beach House Miami Hotel.

Cruise's three children Suri, Isabella, and Connor were all in attendance, as were 40 other guests who were all served a gourmet Italian meal with chocolate cake.

Making sure to visit her fans all over the globe, Lady Gaga was once again tending to promotional efforts in Taipei, Taiwan on Monday (July 4).

The "Bad Romance" songstress looked fabulous as she attended a press conference to boost interest in her new album Born This Way at the Regent Hotel.

Yesterday (July 3) Gaga was in the house for a special ceremony in the City of Taichung on what was declared to be Lady GaGa Day in honor of her visit.

Locals gave her a bevy of beautiful presents to welcome her, to which Gaga exclaimed, "These gifts are so overwhelmingly thoughtful and generous. I will cherish them forever and always remember today."
