Gwyneth Paltrow Premieres "Contagion" in Venice!

With the annual Venice Film Festival in full swing, the cast of "Contagion" hit the red carpet for their film's premiere at Palazzo de Cinema on Saturday night (September 3).

Joining in on the celebration were lovely actress Gwyneth Paltrow, as well as newly-bald actor Matt Damon (who was joined by wife Luciana Barroso), as well as fellow co-star Laurence Fishburne.

For the sci-fi thriller, Damon teamed back up with director Steven Soderbergh - who also directed him in the "Ocean's Eleven" movies starting back in 2001.

"Steven sent me the script with a note that said, 'Read this and then go wash your hands,'" said Damon, with a laugh. "After seeing this movie in a theater filled with strangers, I'm sure that thought will definitely cross peoples' minds."

As for "Contagion," the picture - which hits theaters on September 9th - also stars Jude Law and Kate Winslet while being an "action-thriller centered on the threat posed by a deadly disease and an international team of doctors contracted by the CDC to deal with the outbreak."

Taking her gorgeousness to Sin City, Nicole Scherzinger took to the Paris Las Vegas hotel for a Labor Day kickoff soiree on Friday night (September 2).

The "Don't Hold Your Breath" singer joined alongside musician Nelly at the Chateau Nightclub & Gardens venue after first hitting up the resort's Sugar Factory for a lollipop treat and photo session.

Tweeting about the festivities, Miss Scherzinger excitedly wrote, "Who's coming out 2 party w/me #Vegas @Chataulv? Gna start #LDW right this Friday night!'"

The 33-year-old later added, "And I haven't forgotten abt my UK fans! I'll be back in London 2 perform at the opening of Westfield Stratford City on Sept 13!"
The appearance comes as Nicole has been surrounded by engagement rumors with her race car driver beau Lewis Hamilton - though Lewis took to press to shoot down the claims.

Talking with Jonathan Ross on his new ITV show, Hamilton responded when asked of wedding plans, "I don't know about that. No, no, we are quite happy where we are."

Looking slim n' sexy just weeks after welcoming her second child into the world, Jessica Alba closed out the week with a shopping spree in Beverly Hills, CA on Friday (September 2).

Dressed in all-black, the "Sin City" actress was accompanied by her mom as the two lovely ladies took to the local Anthropologie boutique to load up on a few bagfuls of purchases.

And while she might have shot to fame with the help of her childhood work, Miss Alba says her own kids won't be in front of a camera until they're well out of their teen years.

During an interview with FOX News, the "Spy Kids: 4D" star says - although she found her own big Hollywood break at age 13 - she has different hopes for her little ones - and they don't involve Tinseltown.

"I was a child actor and it worked for me, given the circumstances I was in, but I'm lucky enough to give my daughter and my second baby a completely different life and an education that I never had the opportunity to have," Jessica explained.

The 30-year-old furthered her reasoning, as she told, "When they're done with college, if they want to get into the arts, that's fine. I think you will be a better artist the more life experience you have, but I wouldn't encourage them to work in this type of environment as children."

2011 GUCCI Awards For Women: A Star-Studded Affair

With the stars gathering together for a swanky night in Italy, the 2011 GUCCI Awards For Women took place in Venice on Friday night (September 2).

Held at the Hotel Cipriani's cinema, big names such as Gucci-clad ladies Madonna and Abbie Cornish were among those partaking in the annual Venice Film Festival tribute.

Also in attendance were Salma Hayek and Francois Henri-Pinault, as well as actress Evan Rachel Wood and actor James Franco.

During the festivities, a few awards were passed out to deserving candidates, with Madonna taking the podium at one point to bestow the trophy for Outstanding Artistic Achievement to the lovely Jessica Chastain.

Kate Bosworth & Michael Polish: Deauville Lovers

Helping usher in another year of the annual cinematic event, Kate Bosworth was among those at the opening ceremony of the 37th Deauville American Film Festival in Deauville, France on Friday (September 2).

The "Superman Returns" actress looked stunning in a black Valentino frock as she joined new beau Michael Polish on the Deauville red carpet while in attendance to promote her film "Another Happy Day".

The outing comes as Miss Bosworth recently opened up to BlackBook about her high school days - telling that she mostly kept to herself.

The 28-year-old dished, "I was a real loner in high school, even though people assume I was the head cheerleader. My head was always in books. I felt uncomfortable in cliques. I wasn't a social butterfly at all."

Labor Day Weekend: "The Help" Continues Box Office Reign

A mainstay atop the movie world over the past month, "The Help" once again snatched up the top spot at the box office during Labor Day weekend of September 2-5, 2011.

The Emma Stone starring book-based picture, which has been perched atop the movie money-making list for the fourth straight week, pulled in $3.6 million on Friday while pacing towards a weekend total of approximately $16.5 million.

One of the newcomers to theaters across the States, the "Jaws" inspired fright film "Shark Night 3D" followed closely behind with a $3 million first day - which set the David R. Ellis directed offering up for a debut weekend take of $11 million.

Rounding out the top five at the box office in estimated weekend totals are two more newcomers in "Apollo 18" ($10.5 million) and Helen Mirren's film "The Debt" ($11.5 million), followed by fifth place finisher, the Zoe Saldana fronted action caper "Colombiana" ($10 million).

Making a stop at American Apparel and Timeless, the style-savvy "Skyscraper" songstress sported a black and white tank top with the words "The Only Coke I Do Is Diet," paired with light wash jean shorts and sky-high black platform wedges.

While there's no doubt she has her pick of suitors, one gentleman has made a big step towards courting Demi.

While speaking with RumorFix.com, rapper Romeo Miller offered Miss Lovato an extravagant celebration in return for her hand in marriage, as he pleaded, "Demi Lovato, if you see this, this is me proposing to you right now... I don't got the ring (sic), but that's nothing..."

Bringing her box office hit overseas, Emma Stone took center stage at the 37th Deauville American Film Festivalin Deauville, France on Saturday (September 3).

The adorable young actress joined co-stars Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer and Allison Janney at a photocall session for "The Help".

The previous evening, Miss Stone and friends were busy partaking in the annual film extravaganza's opening ceremony.

The ladies worked the arrivals area prior to a screening of their movie - with this year's festival paying tribute to American director Francis Ford Coppola.
