In order to avoid misuse, users are required to enter their email to access the account as a necessary safeguard. Any thoughts of misuse aside, the main idea behind the Swap-O-Matic Vending Machine is to encourage more and more people to develop the habit of reusing items. This unique vending machine allows people to share their items that they may no longer find useful and making them available for others who might still find them of use. Currently, there is only a single Swap-O-Matic Vending Machine that has been going around and stationed at various locations in New York City.
