Posted: 10 Oct 2011 06:43 PM PDT

Closing out a long day of promotions, Hilary Duff made an appearance at Barnes & Noble Tribeca in New York City on Monday night (October 10).

The expecting "Beauty and the Briefcase" babe looked adorable as she took a seat at the Big Apple bookseller to sign copies of her latest literary offering titled "Devoted".

Prior to dropping by Barnes & Noble, Hilary visited with MTV and chatted about her pregnancy, saying, "I feel really good. It's been pretty easy, and I haven't gotten sick at all, and I don't have too many cravings. It's so different. It's literally like an alien has taken over your body. One day I'll have a good day, and one day I'll have a bad day, and it kinda goes like that."

As for the sex of her first child, Duff told, "I can already find out, but I want my mom and my sister to be there, but they've both been out of town. When they are both in the same city and we're all there, then we'll find out."

And while she's not sure if it's a son or a daughter, the 24-year-old is thinking she'll be welcoming a boy, as she explained, "Everyone else says it's a girl, but I think it's a boy. I'd be happy with a girl, but my sister's like, 'You can't keep saying that, because then when it's a girl, everyone's gonna be like, 'You really wanted a boy!' I don't care what I get, but every time I think about it or dream about it, I see a boy."

Looking absolutely fabulous, Rosamund Pike is featured on the cover of InStyle UK's November 2011 issue.

The "Pride & Prejudice" actress models white dresses from Christian Dior, MaxMara, and ASOS in her photo spread, and chats about how she almost said "I Do" in the accompanying interview.

Of her reaction to former fiance Joe Wright's decision to call off their wedding, Rosamund explained, "When you're about to get married and then you're not, it's all a big shock. You think, well, OK, so I'm never going to lead a totally conventional life now."

"Well, it sort of cleans the slate and now I can be exactly who I am. Everyone gives you a certain leeway too, because they can see that you've had something pretty painful going on. And in that, I find a tremendous freedom. I now know I can be married or not married, live with someone or apart, or even in a separate country. Even my grandmother is no longer expecting me to go down a conventional route, which is nice."

Posted: 10 Oct 2011 05:54 PM PDT

He's a man of many talents, and now Chad Michael Murray has released his latest work - "Flight of the Cormorant," a short story penned by the star himself.

During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, the "One Tree Hill" hunk told, "For the last eight years I've loved and grown with this story. It came to me after meeting a man who showed up on my doorstep in Wilmington, NC. I really hope everyone enjoys it."

Not only is Chad showing off his authoring talents in the venture - he's also unveiling his charitable side. The Hollywood star is giving 100 percent of the proceeds from the short's download on his website (http://www.thechadmichaelmurray.com/everlast-2) to a choice of three charities, voted upon by tweeting #EverlastCharity with the name of the fan's choosing.

"Hunters Hope is a local charity from my hometown of Buffalo, NY. I've worked with them for years and they are very close to my heart. It was Founded by Hall of Fame and Buffalo Bills Quarterback Jim Kelly, who's son Hunter Kelly passed away from Krabbe's disease. Their mission is to raise awareness about universal newborn screening and to give our children a better chance at a normal life."

"The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation is an amazing organization and I feel fortunate that I am able to attend their events and learn about the cause. There are enough obstacles in a kid's way already without living with HIV or full-blown AIDS. The transmission of the virus to beautiful, young children needs to be stopped," Murray told of the second charity.

He added, "To Write Love on her Arms (TWLOHA) is a socially important non-profit that started virally from a story written by founder Jamie Tworkowski. It aids in bringing more awareness and council to self mutilators and addicts. I was blessed to be involved in a film version of this story (slated for release in 2012). It's really something special."

Evangeline Lilly Talks Lengthy At-Home Childbirth

Posted: 10 Oct 2011 04:35 PM PDT

She was dead-set on the natural, at-home delivery of her first child last May, but now Evangeline Lilly has admitted that the birth didn't turn out as easy as she had previously hoped.

During a recent appearance on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," the "Real Steel" star explained the lengthy child-rearing process, telling the host, "I actually skipped the hospital. We decided to have the baby at home because we wanted it to be a natural birth, and it turns out that it was 30 hours of natural!"

Not expecting five hours of seemingly endless pushing, Evangeline's midwife finally stepped in, as she explained, "I was like, 'Really? After five hours of pushing, you have a few suggestions? You couldn't have told me five minutes in?'"

And while Lilly had hoped to take some time off acting to focus on her latest role as mom, she signed on to play in Peter Jackson's "Hobbit," a project that has allowed her to take her son, even though the little one isn't always fond of the experience.

"He came to the trailer and I put him to my breast [to nurse] and he screamed his head off, staring up at this strange, pointy-eared, mess of a person that was not his mother," adding, "And then that night I was feeding him at home and he was perfectly fine and my partner [Norman Kali] said to me, 'You know his internal dialogue right now is, "Mom, you won't believe what happened to me today!"'"

Adam Lambert: Gearing Up for New Album in 2012

Posted: 10 Oct 2011 03:53 PM PDT

Despite not winning "American Idol" season 8, Adam Lambert's debut album For Your Entertainment was a huge success.

And the openly-gay rocker is poised for another big hit when his sophomore release hits stores in the first quarter of 2012.

"I'm sorry for the delay- but trust me, it's worth it. As of now, album will be released in the spring. Feb/march?"

RCA Records COO Tom Corson told press, "We moved the album back because the creative process is still unfolding... not because we're not excited about what we've got, we just think we can top it, but we're right there on the cusp."

"Adam is definitely more involved than ever and I think he's really enjoying that. Those first records when you come off of Idol, the timelines are really tight, so it's an artificial experience. Now he has room to breathe and time, he doesn't have to come off TV, onto a tour and then have an album out for Christmas."
