Amanda Knox Returns to U.S., Tearfully Thanks Supporters

She's spent the past four years in an Italian jail after being convicted of murder, but tonight (October 4) Amanda Knox made her return to the United States.

The 24-year-old flew from Rome to London before boarding a flight to Seattle, Washington - where a press conference took place upon her arrival with swarms of media members converging on the locale.

Speaking briefly with the press, Amanda quivered as she started off by stating, "I'm a little overwhelmed right now."

Surrounded by loved ones, the 24-year-old continued, "Thanks to everyone who believed in me, who has defended me, who supported my family. My family's the most important thing right now and i just want to go be with them."

The return to her homeland comes after a Perugia court overturned her murder conviction, as Ms. Knox had been found guilty of murdering her roommate Meredith Kercher in 2007 with the help of her then-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, but when key DNA evidence was found to be unreliable she was set free.

And while the Knox family is rejoicing, Kercher's brother, Lyle, voiced his confusion about what to make of the ordeal, as he told press, "We want to say we accept the decision but we are also looking at how a decision so certain a few years ago should be overturned. Rudy Guede's appeal was upheld by the court and the court agreed he wasn't acting alone. So, if those two aren't guilty, who are the others? We're back at Square One, and the search goes on to find out what really happened."

Joining together to celebrate their culinary expert friend's latest literary offering, Kate Winslet and Gwen Stefani were side-by-side at Locanda Locatelli in London, England on Tuesday night (October 4).

The Oscar-winning actress and the multi-talented musician/fashion designer took to the popular UK eatery to ring in the release of Chef Giorgio Locatelli's new book 'Made In Sicily'.

The festive affair comes just as Miss Winslet opened up about her divorce and new path in life as part of her cover girl efforts for the November 2011 issue of Harper's Bazaar UK.

Of parting ways with husband of seven years Sam Mendes, Kate told, "We're grown-ups at the end of the day, and however hard it's been for me, it's been equally hard for him. And we have a child together who we both love - and raising him together, jointly and without any conflict, is absolutely key."

Currently dating Richard Branson's wild nephew, "Ned Rocknroll," Winslet - who turns 36-years-old on Wednesday (October 5) - said, "I feel that I'm just at the beginning of a new narrative, and it's incredibly exciting. It's complicated, I know, and uncertain - but it's where life happens, between the cracks. It can be a painful process, but I truly hope that never stops for me."

"The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" International Trailer: Watch Now!

It's one of the most-talked-about films of the season, and "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" has just offered up another sneak peek in the form of an international trailer.

The two minute preview was put forth by Columbia Pictures while boosting interest in the first of three movies in "The Millennium Trilogy," an adaptation of Stieg Larsson's literary blockbuster.

Boasting quite the impressive cast, "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" stars a strong lineup including Daniel Craig, Rooney Mara, Christopher Plummer, Stellan Skarsgard, and Steven Berkoff.

Set to hit theaters December 21st, the book-based film is about journalist Mikael Blomkvist (Craig), who is aided in his search for a woman who has been missing for forty years by Lisbeth Salander (Mara), a young computer hacker.

Adele is "Truly Devastated" Over Canceled U.S. Tour

Coming as a huge disappointment to all of those planning on attending one of her scheduled performances, Adele has sadly announced that she'll no longer be embarking on a 10-city U.S. tour.

The string of shows were slated to kickoff in Atlantic City on October 7th, but the British singer has canceled all of her shows after suffering a hemorrhage in her vocal cord.

Voicing her disappointment via her website, the 23-year-old wrote, "Singing is literally my life, it's my hobby, my love, my freedom and now my job. I have absolutely no choice but to recuperate properly and fully, or I risk damaging my voice forever. I have great confidence in believing you know how much this upsets me, how seriously I take it and how truly devastated and annoyed I am by this. Wanting to do something so bad and not being able to is the most frustrating thing as I'm sure you know!"

With no makeup dates being named thus far, Adele added, "My voice is weak and I need to build it back up. I'm gonna be starting up vocal rehab [soon] and start building my over all stamina in my voice, body and mind. I will be back and I'm gonna smash the ball out the park once I'm touring again. I apologize from the bottom of my heart, sincerely I do. I know it's not only disappointing because of the show, but it's plane tickets, hotel bookings, birthdays, anniversaries and time wasted. But please have faith in me that this is the only thing I can do to make sure I can always sing and always make music for you to the best of my ability. Truly yours and yours only forever, Adele xx"

Treating fans to a preview of what's to come, a brand new still from Marvel's forthcoming flick "The Avengers" has hit the Web.

In the snapshot, fans get another look at Scarlett Johansson dressed as Black Widow on the set of the comic book based movie.

"The Avengers" is due to hit theaters on May 4th, 2012 and promises to be one of the biggest movies of next summer.

And with a cast that also includes Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Stellan Skarsgard and Samuel L. Jackson, it's not hard to see why.

Julianne Hough Gushes About Ryan Seacrest

Tending to a busy schedule of publicity appearances, Julianne Hough was spotted out for the filming of an interview for "Extra" at The Grove in Los Angeles this afternoon (October 4).

The former "Dancing with the Stars" pro showed off her sexy curves for the segment, wearing a body-hugging black dress with a plunging neckline and a pair of gray heels.

The outing comes as the "Footloose" starlet has been gushing about the premiere night present her beau Ryan Seacrest gave her just moments before her big event.

"On the way here he gave me a little present. It was a cute little necklace with an 'Ariel' boot on it. He's just the most thoughtful person I've ever met," Julianne told "Entertainment Tonight."

Noting that Miss Hough plays the role of Ariel in the film, the gesture was meant to serve as a reminder of the time she officially unveiled her rendition of the role to the world.

Sure to put people in the Christmas spirit, Sony Pictures will be releasing "Arthur Christmas" on November 23rd and the first trailer was revealed today (October 4).

The 3D and 2D flick features the voices of James McAvoy, Hugh Laurie, Jim Broadbent, Bill Nighy, Imedla Staunton and Ashley Jensen.

In the family friendly movie, the big question every child has –'How Does Santa deliver all those presents in one night?' is answered.

The trailer reveals Operation Santa Clause, an ultra-high-tech operation hidden beneath the North Pole, and of course the many other adventures and attention grabbing situations along the way.

Taking advantage of a break in his performing schedule, Justin Bieber was joined by ladylove Selena Gomez in the beautiful city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Tuesday (October 4).

The young couple adorably held hands as they ran towards an awaiting helicopter to cruise the skies above the South American locale.

The outing comes as Justin is in the midst of overseas "My World" tour efforts, with his next gig scheduled to take place at Estádio do Engenhão in Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday night (October 5).

Meanwhile, Bieber continues to add hype to his upcoming holiday album (which is due out on November 1st), as he tweeted earlier this afternoon, "2 WEEKS from today my new single #MISTLETOE hits ITUNES!! Spread the word! We are going for our first ever #1 single on ITUNES!! #OCT18th"

Kim Kardashian & Kris Humphries: Off to "The Tonight Show"!

Dolled up and looking fabulous, Kim Kardashian and her husband Kris Humphries were spotted heading to NBC Studios in Los Angeles, CA on Tuesday (October 4).

The newlyweds were both dressed to the nines as they made their way down a steep stairway during which time Kris grabbed Kim's hand to ensure she made it down unharmed.

As for the reason behind the studio visit, Mr and Mrs Kris Humphries happened to be taping an appearance on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" - which will be airing tonight at 11:35PM on NBC.

In other news, reports tell that Kim shelled out nearly $300,000 smackaroos for a brand new white Ferrari 458 earlier this week.

Just before picking up her luxurious ride, the reality TV queen tweeted, "There truly is no place like home!"

Awhile later, the 30-year-old added, "I'm sooo excited to go see my brother at Dancing With The Stars tonight! He's dancing 1st & I heard its a special dance tonight! Can't wait!"
